ABOUT NEST is an intercontinental and intersectoral project that merges research and social practices to carry out ambitious theoretical inquiry on the relationships between digital technologies, living systems and knowledge. It is based on contributory research: an approach integrating different forms of knowledge (practical and theoretical), wherein standard academic, artistic, technological and industrial research can dialogue horizontally with experimental territorial laboratories which act as places of rapid adoption of technologies. The manner of the research is a mobility program allowing an international and intersectorial exchange of researchers and staff across the academic and non-academic partners of NEST to allow the articulation of local territorial situations with international concerns in the context of the Anthropocene.
